Part of the HP StorageWorks MSL6000 Tape Library family, the HP StorageWorks MSL6030 Tape Library is designed for medium to large IT networks. The MSL6030 supports 30 media slots (including one configurable mail slot) and up to two HP LTO Ultrium tape drives. Drives can be added for a maximum of 2 drives per library module. Designed in a 5U form factor, the MSL6030 provides consistent and reliable data backups, restoration and archival as well as automatically changing tapes through robotics. With a native data storage capacity of 12 TB in a single unit, the MSL6030 is able to scale up to a maximum of 16 tape drives and 240 media slots, allowing for a maximum configuration data storage capacity of 96TB. The HP StorageWorks MSL6030 Tape Library has a maximum transfer rate of 1.7B/hr in a single unit, and a maximum transfer rate of 27TB/hr when in the maximum configuration of 8 stacked MSL6030 tape libraries using the MSL Library Extender Kit. The HP MSL6030 features a touch screen Graphical User Interface (GUI) control panel and web-based remote management software for ease-of-use and monitoring.
