Dell PowerVault 128T Tape Autoloader
Technical Support, Maintenance and Repair Services
The Dell PowerVault 128T Tape Autoloader can be deployed with a single tape drive, either with either Linear Tape Open (LTO) technology or Super DLT (SDLT). LTO offers high performance backup, with a maximum capacity of 4TB and a maximum backup rate of 216GB/hr. SDLT offers backward readcompatibility with previous DLT formats and a maximum capacity of 4.4TB and backup rate of up to 160GB/hr. A mailbox allows users import and export tape cartridges while backup jobs are in progress, minimizing the need to re-inventory all tape cartridges in the library.
Available in a rack-optimized 5U chassis or as a deskside model , the Dell 128T can be configured as a 1X20 autoloader for workgroups or small departments. A second tape drive can be added to increase backup throughput and meet more demanding backup requirements. The PowerVault 128T offers the option of moving from an automated LAN-based backup solution to a SAN-based system with the addition of a 1Gb/s fibre channel router.
