The Sun StorageTek StorEdge D240 is a full two-gigabit per second Fibre Channel mid-range disk subsystem scaling to 16 terabytes of storage, with performance of up to 800 Megabytes per second and 77,500 IOPS for demanding applications. Compact, scalable, and very flexible, the STK D240 is specifically designed to support the Sun Fire™ servers as the boot disk, data-load, and data interchange solution. In a slim, 2U rackable or server-top configuration, it can accommodate a range of storage devices including removable hard disks, DVD-ROM, and tape backup. The Sun StorageTek StorEdge D240 Media Tray features a single or dual bus configuration, supporting up to two independent server boot domains per system. It is ideal for installing software patches, file updates, and tape backup of the boot disk drive data. The Sun StorageTek StorEdge D240 Media Tray is optimized with dual hot-swappable, load-sharing power supplies for maximum system availability.
