The mid-range Sun FlexLine FLX240 Storage System provides robust features, scalability and solid performance to meet the requirements of online applications in a cost-efficient manner. The FLX240 is a full, end-to-end 2-gigabit Fibre Channel storage solution that supports all major Windows and UNIX environments. The Sun FLX240 storage system is available in two configuration options. The drive-limited FLX240 offers superior value for limited budgets to serve remote office locations or file and print servers. It supports a maximum of 14 FC drives. The fully expandable FLX240 is the right choice for smaller database environments or e-mail servers. It can support up to 14 integrated FC drives as well as 7 additional arrays — in any combination of FC and SATA devices. The Sun FlexLine FLX240 Storage System helps you increase the availability of business applications through online administration, redundant components and dual I/O paths with transparent failover.
The SANtricity Storage Manager software provides powerful storage management functionality so you can manage FLX240 storage systems from anywhere in your business with an easy-to-use graphical user interface. Modular pay-as-you-grow scalability enables you to expand as your storage needs change, or you can migrate to the larger FLX280 enterprise storage system.
